What we collect
Reelhouse is a video browsing and playback website. We collect information in these specific, limited ways:
- Anonymous view counts. When you watch a video, we increment a numeric view counter for that video. This is not tied to your identity, account, or IP address in our database — it's an aggregate number, not a per-viewer record.
- Contact form submissions. If you use our Contact page, we store the name, email address, topic, and message you submit, so we can respond to you and keep a record of the inquiry.
- DMCA takedown notices. If you submit a copyright complaint via our DMCA policy page, we store your name, email, statements, electronic signature, and the video URL you're reporting, as required to process and document a valid takedown notice.
- Content reports. If you use the Report Content form, we store the video URL, reason, and description you provide. Name and email on this form are optional — you may report anonymously.
- Security/rate-limit logs. To prevent abuse of our admin login and public forms, we temporarily log the IP address and timestamp of login attempts and form submissions. These records are used only for automated rate-limiting and are periodically deleted (records older than 24 hours are pruned automatically).
- Administrator accounts. Site administrators (site staff, not general visitors) have login credentials (email + a securely hashed password) stored to operate the admin panel. This does not apply to general visitors, who do not have accounts.
We do not currently use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics or tracking service. We do not require visitors to create an account to browse or watch videos, and we do not collect information beyond what's listed above from ordinary browsing.
Cookies
See our full Cookie Policy for details. In summary: the only cookies this website sets today are strictly necessary session cookies used when a site administrator logs into the admin panel. General visitors browsing or watching videos are not cookied or tracked.
Infrastructure providers
This website is built on Cloudflare's platform. As a normal part of delivering, securing, and storing data for the site, the following Cloudflare services process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare Pages serves the website's pages and static files.
- Cloudflare Workers runs our API (search, video listings, form handling, admin panel logic).
- Cloudflare R2 stores the actual video and thumbnail files.
- Cloudflare D1 stores structured data: video and category metadata, tags, admin accounts, and the contact/DMCA/report records described above.
- Cloudflare Email Service delivers outbound notification emails generated by the contact, DMCA, and content-report forms.
Cloudflare, as our infrastructure provider, also automatically processes standard technical/connection metadata (such as IP address and request headers) as an inherent part of operating any website behind its network — for example, for DDoS protection and to power the login/form rate-limiting described above. This is governed additionally by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Advertising
This website does not currently display third-party advertising. [UPDATE THIS SECTION BEFORE ENABLING ADS] — if and when we enable ExoClick or another advertising network, that network will set its own cookies and/or use similar tracking technologies on this site to select and measure ads, and will process data under its own privacy policy in addition to this one. At that time we will:
- name the specific network(s) enabled here,
- link to that network's privacy policy and opt-out mechanism, and
- update our Cookie Policy and add an appropriate consent mechanism where required by law (see the Cookie Policy for more on this).
Until that update is published, no advertising cookies or trackers are active on this site.
How long we keep information
We retain contact messages, DMCA complaints, and content reports for REPLACE_WITH_YOUR_RECORD_RETENTION_PERIOD for recordkeeping purposes, or as required by law, after which they may be deleted. Rate-limit/security logs are deleted automatically after 24 hours. Anonymous view counts are retained for as long as the corresponding video remains published.
Your choices
You can browse and watch videos on Reelhouse without submitting any personal information. If you've submitted a contact message, DMCA notice, or content report and would like to know what we have on file, or would like it deleted, reach us via our Contact page (select the relevant topic). We will honor reasonable requests to the extent we're able, consistent with our legal recordkeeping obligations (for example, we may need to retain DMCA records even after a deletion request, where the law requires it).

Children's privacy
Reelhouse is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information (for example, through the contact form), please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as we add features or enable new services such as advertising. We'll update the effective date above when we do. Material changes will be reflected here; we encourage you to review this page periodically.
